Signing Up for an E-Card

Pennsylvania residents who do not have a public library card and/or need immediate access to the POWER Library databases can sign up for a POWER Library E-Card!

Please note that the e-card may only be used to access e-resources from the POWER Library. The e-card may not be used to access additional e-resources provided by your local library or for circulation activities. For example, it will not be possible to check out materials or to place materials on reserve at your local library using an e-card. To find a library, you may look for one using Find a PA Library.

To sign up for an E-Card:
  • Please visit:  https://powerlibrary.org/ecard/
    • The e-card registration system will verify that the email address provided is valid, and then attempt to verify that the last name and the address provided on the registration form match. (For minors (aged 15 and younger), the required parent/guardian's name and address will be used for verification.)

    • K-12 Students: If you use an email with your school's domain name, and your school does not allow you to receive email from outside domains, you will not be able to obtain an e-card number. You will need to use an email from Gmail, Yahoo, or some other email service provider.

  • For more information on signing up, please see this helpful video:  https://powerlibrary.org/how-to-get-an-ecard/
  • Forgotten/misplaced e-card information? Please visit https://powerlibrary.auto-graphics.com/forgot to retrieve your e-card number.  E-Cards are linked to your email address, so enter in the email address originally used when you signed up for your e-card
  • Expired eCard?  POWER eCards do not expire!  If you think your eCard has expired, you may actually be referring to your actual local library card.  To fix that, please contact your local library--you can find their contact information by visiting our Find a PA Library tool.
